Sarah Kelly serves as the Senior Manager, Public Policy with the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University. In her role, she works to strengthen relationships with federal and state elected officials and government agencies to increase their awareness and understanding of Syracuse University’s veterans and military family focused programming and research initiatives. Before joining the IVMF in 2022, Sarah spent over 3.5 years working for the Senate. She started in the office of Senator Joni Ernst where she worked on various legislative portfolios covering National Security, Agriculture, Education, and the Small Business. In these roles she assisted the Senator in her work on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, and the Small Business Committee. Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Ethics from the University of Iowa.
