Annie Grogan is a resident of Jacksonville, FL. She is a Program Manager for Entrepreneurship and Small Business, under the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF). In this role she manages and provides program support for EBV and other IVMF family small business programs. Annie brings over 30 years of varied industry and sector experience that include the military, the private and government sector, as well as the nonprofit sector.

Her professional career began as a commissioned Army officer, under the Quartermaster Corp.  During her 10 years of active service, she served and supported a myriad of direct and general supply support services.  Through roles as Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Battalion Staff Officer and General – Staff, her career was marked with distinction during her various stateside and overseas assignments.

After her military career Annie pursued a 20+ year career in top Fortune 500 companies as an HR professional. Her HR career evolved in both the Generalist roles, such as HR Manager and Regional HR Director, overseeing multi state human capital operations; to talent acquisition roles such as Corporate Recruiter, International Recruiter, and Enterprise Project Manager, for Diversity Recruiting Initiatives. She has worked for global and national organizations such as Pepsi-Cola, Sallie Mae, Best Buy, Co., and Coach, Inc.

Upon relocating to Jacksonville, she began her work with small businesses and non-profits.  Starting as a volunteer working with small business organization, she took a role as a business consultant for the Florida SBDC at UNF and then later for the SBA.   She is best known in her community as Founder and Board Chair of The Hispanic Institute for Life and Leadership of Northeast FL.  A professional development and job placement nonprofit focused on the Latino labor force of the region.

Annie serves in multiple roles with organizations throughout her community related to business, and human resources.  Her community distinctions include: Graduate of Leadership Jacksonville, Jacksonville Jaguars Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award, Jacksonville Business Journal – Woman of Influence, City of Jacksonville, Military Commendation – Mayor Alvin Brown

She has an undergraduate degree in Secondary Education, from the University of Puerto Rico. Three of her children and two of their spouses are active-duty service men, women or are military veterans.
