Adam (A.J.) James Florkowski
AJ Florkowski is responsible for managing the grant reporting requirements set forth by the numerous funders of the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families, while also serving as a project manager for a variety of tasks essential to managing and growing IVMF’s portfolio of programs and services.
Prior to his current role at IVMF, AJ served as the National Program Manager for the Onward to Opportunity (O2O) team from 2016-2017, as well as the National Program Manager for IVMF’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) and the EBV-Families programs from 2015-2016.
AJ is an 11-year active duty veteran of the U.S. Army and continues to serve in the Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel. AJ serves as a combat engineer officer and has completed overseas tours in Germany and Korea and a deployment to Iraq. His service medals include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal and the Iraq Campaign Medal (2 stars), among others.
AJ holds a bachelor’s degree in geopolitics with a minor in systems engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree in geology from the University of Missouri at Rolla.
